The nr.1 pet peeve for customers is…?

Iritated customersThe biggest irritation from customers

Do you know what the biggest irritation is with customers? That is right you guessed it, it is not being able to reach a business and get some help with your problem, when you have purchased a product or service from that business.

I see so many businesses small and large, without a telephone number on their website where customers can reach somebody to get some help. Customers want to talk to somebody when they are dissatisfied or can’t figure it out. Most customers are like me and don’t have the patience to go through a thick manual and try to figure out how something works; when they can’t figure it out they want to have a quick solution and be able to call a number that can help them quickly.

It really is not difficult for a business to set up a proper help desk, even if you are a small business you can still assign one or two people to answer the phone and help customers with their problem. Training and coaching your people how to communicate properly with your customer  is essential for your business. Unfortunately I see so many businesses not spending time and money for training there employees well. I love the qoute, ‘Build your people and the people will build your business’

Watch my video below, for my tips and insights about setting up a help desk.

How procrastination can kill your business.

Procrastination is deadly for your business

Procrastination us probably the one thing that costs us more energy, time and in the long run even money. We all do it, some more than others, but we do not realize how detrimental this can be if we eventually do not tackle the things we need to do that we so dread doing. I think it is the one thing that can be really damaging to your business and even bring it down.

I think quite often the reason we procrastinate is because we make the task to big that we are dreading or our list of things to do to is to big. This where we lose oversight quickly and can’t ‘see the trees through the forest’ as we like to say here in The Netherlands.

Reducing procrastination

But procrastination is something you can reduce and maybe overcome completely, with some simple guidelines and rules to follow. It is something we can get rid of in our lives and work, as long as we stay disciplined and follow the program, this way we get excellent results.

Take a look at my video and see what I have to say about the subject, I would love to hear your comments and how you tackle procrastination.

Giving excellent serviceService Industry

The service industry is probably one of the biggest if not the biggest industry that exists; however for that matter I don’t really know if people really understand what the word service really means. The word service can mean different things to different people, and can also apply to very different situations work wise and personal. I think for most situations if you get what you ask for in a timely matter, and with some kind of courtesy most people would be happy especially in the country that I live in (The Netherlands). The word service is still hard to comprehend unfortunately with a lot of companies and institutions. There are a few accept-ions to the rule but these are sometimes hard to find. Now I know this does not count for all countries and in other countries service is taken to a much higher level. Continue reading

PassionWhat does passion mean to you.

The word passion, is a strong word and entails a lot, and there are a lot of things one can be passionate about.  There are many things of course you can be passionate about, you can be passionate about your work or your business, but you can also be passionate about your personal live, your community or the well being of your friends and family.
